The Expanse of God’s Love

Text: II Corinthians 5:14 “For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that

if one died for all, then were all dead:”

Jesus died for all men everywhere.  Even the Old Testament saints without Jesus death, burial

and resurrection were incomplete.

Ephesians 1:10 “That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one

all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him”

Hebrews 11:40 “God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be

made perfect”

Hebrews 10:4 “For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away

sins.”

Hebrews 9:26 “For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now

once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.”
Romans 3:25 “Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare

his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;”

Jesus died for all.  Eternal punishment will not be God’s fault.  It will be the willful turning

away from the love of God, that is so expansive, it covers the sins of the world!

John 1:29 “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God,

which taketh away the sin of the world.”

John 12:32 “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”

John 1:9 “That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.”

Romans 1:20 “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen,

being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they

are without excuse:”

Acts 17:27, 28 “That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find

him, though he be not far from every one of us:  For in him we live, and move, and have our

being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.”

I Timothy 2:6 “Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.”

II Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is

longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to

repentance.”

John 3:16, 17 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever

believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not his Son into

the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”

II Corinthians 5:15 “And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live

unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.”

II Corinthians 5:19 “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not

imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”
The will of God is for everyone to be saved!

I Timothy 2:4 “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”

Ephesians 3:18 “May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and

depth, and height;”

Breadth – Too everyone
Length – For eternity
Depth – Goes down into our innermost being, the deepest recesses of our heart and spirit man
Height – Heaven!

The Cost

Isaiah 52:14 “As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his

form more than the sons of men:”

II Corinthians 5:21 “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be

made the righteousness of God in him.”

II Corinthians 8:9 “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich,

yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.”

I John 2:2 “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the

sins of the whole world.”

This our great calling!  Proclaim the good news to all!  It’s available to all now!  But for how

long?

Revelation 21:8 “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and

whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake

which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
