Science In the Bible 1 Fall 2015 Part 3

America, legally, has killed 50 million unborn since that fateful decision.  As a nation, we have blood on our hands.
Now Pro Lifers are able to call abortion proponents “anti- science”, because the science is all on our side.

A brief look at abortion:

A good medical look at the fact that life begins at conception is here:  Condic, Maureen, MD. When Does Human Life Begin? A Scientific Perspective. The Westchester Institute for Ethics and the Human Person.

At 18-24 days a baby’s heart begins to beat.

Week 5 eyes, hands, and legs begin to develop.

At 6 weeks brain waves are detected.  Mouth and lips are forming.

Week 7 eyelids and toes form.  The baby is kicking and swimming.

At 8 weeks the nervous system is very developed, and the baby likely feels pain.  Every organ is in place.  Bones and fingerprints are forming.

At 9 weeks fingernails are forming.  Also, a baby can then grasp things and suck its thumb.

At 11 weeks the baby beginnings breathing amniotic fluid, which it will do until birth.

At 13 weeks, senses are developing.

At 20 weeks, a baby can be startled by a loud noise.

Psalm 139:13-16 “For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.”

Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”

Proverbs 31:8 “Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.”

Exodus 21:22, 23 “22 If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. 23 And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life”

Methods of Abortion

Really, they are too gruesome to describe.  Vacuum and Curettage, Saline, Forceps and Dilation, Partial Birth, Suction Aspiration are some of the methods used.  You can discern what happens.  79.6% of U.S. abortions involve curettage, suction and aspiration.

About 1 million abortions occur in the U.S. each year.

67% of all abortions are after the 6th week of pregnancy.   Their heart is beating, brain waves are detected, their eyes, hands, and legs are developing, and the child is kicking and swimming by this time.

Racial hygiene, as advocated by Hitler and Sanger is routinely practiced.  Babies with Down’s syndrome, dwarfism and other weaknesses are often aborted.

Blacks are 3.7 times more likely to have an abortion than non-Hispanic Whites.

New York City’s Black population has had more abortions than births in recent years.

About 35% of women under 45 have had an abortion.

There are approximately 125,000 abortions per day in the world, or about 40-50 million per year.

National Right to Life is a good organization to fight against abortion.

20 years ago, abortion was deeply ensconced in America.  It still is.  However, popular opinion has dramatically shifted, and now America is firmly pro-life.  Only a small minority favor current abortion laws.  A much larger percentage favor abortion only in very rare circumstances, such as rape, incest, or the life of the mother is endangered.

The younger the person (above 18), the more firmly pro-life they are statistically.  Hallelujah!

Answering Abortions Toughest Questions:

1)    The baby is a blob of protoplasm.  This is a philosophical argument, but not a scientific one.  Science has shown that life begins at conception.  The embryo is alive.

2)    A woman should be able to determine what goes on inside her body.  So a teenager can be forced to undergo chemotherapy at the decrees of the state against her wishes, but she can decide what to do with another living being?   Personal responsibility seems to be in order here.  She should have thought about that before bringing a life into the world.

3)    Poverty and sickness – a child shouldn’t have to be born into those climes of life.  Really?  And who makes those decisions?  The state?  A profiteering abortionists.

4)    I believe in freedom and choice.  It’s a baby not a choice.  Freedom does not include the freedom to kill other living things.

5)    The rich want abortions to account for the peccadilloes.  So the poor must have equal access.  If abortion is restricted, only the rich can obtain it.  So only the rich can murder?  This is a terrible argument once the life of a fetus is established scientifically.

6)    The appeal to uncertainty.  When is the fetus a child?  When it can live outside the womb?  Feel pain?   Heartbeat?  This is a smokescreen which ignores scientific data.
